Assam Police SI Exam Pattern

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test(PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The second stage of the Assam Police SI exam consists of the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Once the candidates have scored above the cutoff mark in the written test, they will be required to participate in the PST. It is important to note that the PST does not carry any marks. Physical Standard Test(PST)

Once a candidate clears the PST, he/she will have to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The PET consists of two events, namely, race and long jump. The candidates are required to complete the race within a specified time, and the long jump is measured in meters. The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks.

a) 1600 meters race within 450 seconds for male candidates and 800 meters race within 240 seconds for female candidates.
b) Long Jump – for Male 335 cm (minimum) and for female 244 cm (minimum), 3 chances (longest valid jump will be considered).

After, Written Test, Physical Standard Test(PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) candidate have to give the Oral/ Viva-Voce, captaining maximum 5 marks.
